Before your Infrared Body Treatment

Make sure you apply your Infrared Body Treatment Gel (recommended) or some other type of Cellulite Gel for maximum results.

1) Drink plenty of fluids the day before, the day of and the day after your treatment!

Your body will sweat and you will heat the inner core of your body, therefore, it is extremely important to replenish your body fluids. You will break up toxins and you will need to flush them out. We suggest during treatment to take your weight and drink that many ounces of water per day (i.e. if you weigh 140 lbs, drink 140 oz of water). You may drink any other liquids as your water intake except carbonated, caffeinated and alcohol.

2) Drinking Hot Herbal Tea (non-caffeinated) before your session is wonderful – we will provide this for you or we recommend drinking it before you arrive!

Drinking hot tea will help warm the core temperature of your body plus increase your metabolism.

This will give you a great jump-start to your session as the treatment will do the same thing by increasing your core temperature and metabolism level. You will notice even better results by doing this before each treatment.

3) Do not eat anything heavy before your session. A light meal or snack is fine. We want the Infrared to attract to its targeted areas, not what is in your stomach.

4) It is recommended that you wear the clothing you are to be treated in. Cotton or cotton blend sweats, or Capri length pants, or Yoga pants work great. Wear a long sleeve cotton shirt to cover your arms. Wear a sports bra or a bra that does not contain underwire. Bring a change of clothes for after your visit as you may soak through your clothing.

5) Do not wear metal of any kind – jewelry, clothing, bra, buttons, etc. (rings are ok). Your core temperature will be very warm and metal will heat with the session and may cause a burn.

6) Feel free to bring in a book, a DVD movie to watch or you may want to select a movie provided by our salon.

Your treatment will last a full 60 minutes (including wrap time) and you may want to watch your choice of movie, however, we have a limited selection available for your enjoyment. You may also take a nap, listen to music, however for best results, we recommend.

7) You are welcome to have one guest sit with you in the room during your session.
However this guest may not be a minor under the age of 16. A member of our staff will be checking on your periodically during your session to make sure you have enough water to drink and are comfortable.

8) We will weigh you every 3rd visit, take your BMI (Body Mass Index), as well as your body fat %. We will chart your progress, but ask that you also chart your measurements, fiber and water intake at home. We will explain this chart to you.
